Design Projects

When working with a client, Ellen uses her natural intuitive ability creating environments that reflects each client’s
unique personality and image and individual needs. Below are a few photos of projects, however, Ellen always says:
“It’s not so much how it looks, it’s how it feels.”



This “European style bath” (the entire room is the shower) is only 6’ x 6’. The tiles were designed by Ellen and Baton Rouge artist- sculptor, Mary Kay Davis. Ceiling is painted in "Sapphire" Full Spectrum Paint.

This Greenwich Village living room was created in one day for a “new” bachelor who had no existing furniture. When the project was complete, he exclaimed “This place is really me!”. The Master Bedroom can be seen at "Residential Design Projects".

This Soho loft had windows with a view of the building next door. Warmth and the feeling of natural lighting was created by designing mahogany bookcases and special shutters made with copper screen sandwiched between frosted glass.



Ellen restored this Criminal District Courtroom in New Orleans back to its original grandeur. To keep within a tight budget, she used trustee prisoners who refinished the original millwork and art deco chandeliers. Special effect lighting highlights the judge's podium.
