Window Treatments

"Simple Elegance" is often the phrase used to describe the unpleated curtain panels shown above and below. An inexpensive faille fabric is used as both fabric and lining in the curtains we create. "Olive" shown above and below is lined with "Lavendar" (above) and "Indese Copper" (below) and interlined with flannel which adds weight and gives it a more substantial hang. The panels are hung without pleats every 12 inches from iron rings on an iron rod so that the tops can be "cuffed" to show more contrasting color like the ones above. The faille fabric is a rayon and cotton blend that hangs like silk taffeta but "wears like iron" and is available in 96 colors, therefore the possibilities are endless! Price: $15 yd.

"Taffeta Curtains" above (color "Cinnamon") are lined and interlined for body and weight. Taffeta fabric comes in many colors. Antique valance.

"Sumptuous" Curtain Panels grace the McGlynn, Glisson & Koch conference room in Baton Rouge. A blue and taupe chenille lined with "Straw" faille fabric is still simple (i.e. no pleats) hanging from an iron rod. The look is more traditional as the rings are sewn every 6 inches. What gives these curtains their sumptuous look is that the fullness is "3x". Note how the curtain length doesn't puddle, it's just 1-2" longer, so that it gives that "full, sumptuous" feeling.

"Casual" Curtain Panels lined with a cotton windowpane fabric are treated like the "Sumptuous" curtains above (i.e. no pleats and rings every 8 inches) but are only "2.5x" fullness.

The traditional "Pinch Pleated Curtains" can still have a soft, casual look when hung on a wooden or iron rod with a slight puddle.

The "Pleat Detail" shown here helps silk taffeta curtains maintain their fullness. Note that unlike a traditional pinch pleat, this panel is only pleated at the top where it's attached to the ring.

A "Fringed Valence" is attached to these curtain panels mounted on a simple decorative wooden pole with wooden rings.

"Tasseled Valence" also attached to simple unpleated curtain panels mounted on antique gold wooden rod w/matching rings can be both formal and casual.

"Fringe Detail" on this simple tapestry cafe' curtain gives an "old world" look.

Our "Favorite Roman Shade" combines softness, elegance and smart detailing with its contrasting trim.

"Tailored Roman Shade" is perfect for the client who doesn't want or have the time to fuss with the shade as plastic stays keep the folds neatly in place when shades are raised.
